Terms of Service

By using the Lanodra Discord bot or the Clan Portal at lanodra.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. What Lanodra Is

Lanodra is a Discord bot and web portal for managing RuneScape 3 clans. It provides roster syncing, XP tracking, rank management, competitions, fund tracking, and reporting tools. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Jagex Ltd. or Discord Inc.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Lanodra.
  • You must have a valid Discord account in good standing.
  • By using the Clan Portal, you authorize us to verify your identity through Discord.

3. Your Account and RSN

  • You are responsible for the RuneScape Name you link with /track. Only link RSNs you own.
  • Do not impersonate other players by linking their RSN.
  • Guild owners and officers may link RSNs on behalf of members using /link.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access data from clans you are not a member of.
  • Abuse, exploit, or attempt to bypass the bot's permission system.
  • Use the bot or portal to harass, spam, or target other players.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the bot or API with automated requests.
  • Use the service for any purpose that violates Discord's Terms of Service, Jagex's Terms of Use, or applicable law.

5. Bot Permissions and Server Access

  • Lanodra requires Administrator permission when added to a Discord server. This is necessary for the bot to reliably create and manage roles, channels, and category structures across varying server configurations.
  • By inviting Lanodra with Administrator permission, you acknowledge that the bot has broad access to your server. The bot only uses permissions required for its documented features (role management, channel creation, message posting, and slash commands).
  • Lanodra does not read, log, monitor, or store the content of user messages in your server. The bot only processes slash command interactions directed at it.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that adding the bot with Administrator permission complies with your server's rules and the expectations of your server members.
  • We are not liable for any unintended effects resulting from the Administrator permission, including but not limited to permission conflicts, role hierarchy changes, or interactions with other bots or integrations in your server.
  • You may remove the bot and revoke its permissions at any time by kicking it from your server.

6. Clan Portal Access

  • Portal access is determined by your RS3 clan rank as recorded in the bot's database.
  • Permission tiers (Owner, Leadership, Officer, Member) control what you can view and modify.
  • You may only access data for clans where you are a verified member.
  • Actions taken through the portal (adding points, editing join dates, managing funds) are logged and attributable to your Discord account.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Lanodra is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how it's handled.

8. Availability and Changes

  • Lanodra is provided "as is" with no guarantees of uptime or availability.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
  • Lanodra is currently in beta. Some features may still be incomplete or change without notice.
  • We are not responsible for data loss during the beta period, though we take reasonable precautions to prevent it.

9. Third-Party Services

Lanodra relies on third-party services that have their own terms:

We are not responsible for changes to these services that affect Lanodra's functionality. If Jagex changes their APIs or Discord changes their platform, some features may stop working.

10. Intellectual Property

  • RuneScape is a trademark of Jagex Ltd. All RuneScape content, game data, and assets belong to Jagex.
  • Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc.
  • Lanodra's code, design, and branding are our own.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Lanodra is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

Lanodra is a free, community-built tool. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We, our developers, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service.
  • This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, computer damage, system failure, or the cost of substitute services.
  • We are not responsible for actions taken by clan officers, owners, or any other users through the bot or portal, including but not limited to incorrect point awards, rank changes, or fund management.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of data obtained from third-party services such as Jagex's APIs or Discord's platform.
  • In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero, as Lanodra is free).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lanodra, its developers, contributors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the service.
  • Your violation of these terms.
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including Discord's or Jagex's terms of service.
  • Any content or data you submit through the service.

14. Assumption of Risk

By using Lanodra, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • The service is in beta and may contain bugs that could result in data loss or incorrect data.
  • You use the service at your own risk and discretion.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of any data you consider important.
  • Features may change, break, or be removed without notice.

15. Termination

  • We may restrict or terminate your access to Lanodra at any time for violations of these terms.
  • You may stop using Lanodra at any time by unlinking your RSN (/unlink) and removing the bot from your server.
  • Guild owners may request full data deletion by contacting us.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be announced in our Discord server.

17. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through good-faith communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the United States.

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
